Nothing

Sayang hinde ako nakapunta ng UP fair last Saturday night. Drew sent me the pics though. Look at this. Amazing shot.
One thing's for sure, I can't understand Britney!

And second, I still want a man with the patience of a saint and who can dance like Usher. He's so darn hot here. Can I be Beyonce? Hahaha~

For UP

Here's something the UP peeps might want to look at.

"Through the project Handog sa Alma Mater, the alumni will be tapped to improve the sidewalks around the Academic Oval and support UP Diliman's intention to keep a sylvan campus with limited access to motorists. At at the same time, the project will generate much-needed funds for the University."

I'd honestly donate the 20K if I have it now (it might take me some time to furnish that amount) but I doubt if they'd accept undergrads there. Anyway, I know for a fact that there are thousands other who are more capable of giving back to the university more than I do. Hoy Glenn, ikaw yun. Mwahahaha~ Kala mo, ung WorldVision sponsorship mo ayusin mo, lagot ka sa akin.

I doubt though that I'd see a name there from anyone from my batch. We're still way too young. I'd assume we'd get lots of donations from the biggies, like senators, congressmen, mayors...bakit kaya? It's in season ata. Mwahaha~

Wizard!

So there, I installed my games. Yipee! And even played one skirmish on Generals Zero Hour. I went down to get snacks and when I got back, my PC was busted. It won't open again after that. I get one long beep and then two shorter ones. Now, if there's anyone who can decipher computer beeps it'll be Dylan and Ryan. So I texted them both. They both said it could be my Video Card or Memory. I was way too sleepy by then so I just went to bed.

I woke up 5 hours later and all I wanted to do was take my PC apart. I took my dinner and looked for Papa's philips screwdriver. And I started to dismantle everything just the way I used to...gently. Hahaha~

Technically I had to do it as soon as I can so I'd know whether I need professional help or not. Last time I opened my PC was over a year ago when I bought a new processor and a new mobo. Anyways, I ended up with scratches all over my arms and hands and when my thumb started to bleed, I called in the troops. Dylan, Randell and Janrey told me to just bring the entire thing to their condo at Katips. There Janrey helped me buy a new casing (with no rough edges inside so I won't end up with bleeding fingers) and Dylan assembled everything (especially the lines for the USB I/O which I just don't understand...too many pins!) and Randell installed the OS. That was then though.

Now, I realized I have to be able to do this alone. They're all busy. Janrey's out of the country. Randell's always doing double shifts and Dylan has a full time residential project. Darn.

The moment I pulled all the plugs at the back I remembered I have a new casing. I no longer have my screwless case. Sheesh. So there, I took out the screws to be able to open one side. I cleaned the insides with my handy cleaner and cotton buds for the hard to reach areas especially around the fans. Then when I was about to check my Graphics card, I just couldn't figure out where the screws where since there was just a piece of metal on top holding it down. I thought the screws were on the other side of the mobo so I resorted to taking the other cover off. Believe me, by this time I was taking too many screws! A girl can't handle that much screws a night! (that didn't sound right hahaha) pero pramis, nakakalito. This screw goes here, this one there, that other one with this. Leche!

Anyways, surprise! No screws on the other side of the MOBO too. Hmmmm...After staring at the entire thing for several minutes and giving my sister a brief tour of the entire CPU (I doubt if Lyka could actually remember the parts I pointed at her and what they're for) I jammed my thumb on the thing that's holding the AGP down. Great. Slide on panel. Sheesh! Tanga ako.

So I cleaned that too. And I took off all the connections and reconnected them. Sorta like making sure everything's where it should be. I tested it once. Beeeeeeep. I took everything apart again. I tested it for the second time. Beeeeeeeep. Darn. I know that beeping sound. It's the memory. I tried to use the other mem ports. Beeeeeeeep. One more port to test. *toot-toot* Yahoo, I'm back!

SO there, I cleaned up everything. I reconnected all the cables. I placed all the screws back (hopefully on the right holes) and I'm online now. My fingers are a bit sore from all the pulling, plugging, unplugging etc. Pramis, lalo na ang IDE cable. Darn. Sumakit mga knuckles ko kakahila. I ended up with dungis hands. And arms. And fingernails. And clothes. Hahahaha. But it's all worth it. Now, where is Black Lotus? woohoo!

Archi Schmarsy

I'd never be an architect. I might have thought for a year or two that I could be one but now I know I'm not made to be one. I signed up for it to please my family. In the end I started to like. That doesn't translate to me being one.

Studying the architecture part was easy, learning the other things that goes with it makes me sweat like an overgrown inmate. I guess, i'd always have a love affair with architecture and arts. I'd always look at floorplans and models differently. And I'd still watch megastructures on NGC weekly. Haha!

I better rethink my life at this point. I'm officially in my quarter-life and I ain't getting any younger. I'd always remember my 3rd year design class with RB. He interrupted me in the middle of my not so nice presentation to announce, "Si Leanne (he calls me by his daughter's name), ang galing talaga mambola."

Maybe I really am on the wrong path back then. Maybe I'm supposed to be a real life "mambobola". Then again, you know I can't sell anything. Even myself.

He Said, She Said

So the guys opened this topic about the first thing that they'd usually notice in a girl. The first three choices were the boobs, the legs and the face. I'd just quote a few of the "common" answers and some of the more interesting ones.

High cheekbones - gustong gusto ko pa naman 'yung monay na monay

Well for me, I go for finger nails first, then toe nails. Fetish ko yan. Yun di overdone ah, as much as possible ala sana pinta ang daliri, and maiksi ang kuko. And only after that do I checkout the face.

Good natural boobs (natural sag is fine with me as long as it's not excessive. Anyway, with every female wearing a bra, who'd notice anyway?) with impressive cleavage. C cup is preferred.

-hanne)

lovely hands - yung di parang kamay ng magsasaka

Actually, I would like 'magsasaka' hands sa girl. Means the lady has practicality and can take care of kids and is generally a hard worker like me who basically works 24x7.

Ofcourse, I had to start a similar discussion for the girls. I gave them three choices: abs, pecs or butt. And I got more answers than I expected. It's quite fascinating. Let me share some things I got from other women:

height, hands/nails, nose, at voice. turn off kase pag boses ipis. bopek tawag dun. As in boses pekp*k.

Cowboy.

Example: Will Devaughn - McRice burger commercial model or Derek Ramsey)

I guess watching Casanova didn't help in extinguishing the oh so manly stature of a male seducer. Hahaha~ Kakainis.

I'd have to stand by my claim to the "athelete's arms/hands" since I know for a fact I find that to be way too sexy to say no to. I guess Tim was right when he said my type may not be discernable by a certain look but rather by a certain gut feel. If he looks like a player, talks like a player and has the angas of a player, then that's my guy right there. Darn!

Just check their site. Darn, now I wanna get married.

Now na!

Fast Forward

I hate the fact that there are instances when I've no control over how things would turn out in my day. You could say I'm a control freak. I don't mind.

Like when I planned to make sure that there'd be no hitch on the schedule. I went online 24 hours after to check and I've 2 agents already. Grrr~ Then I made sure I'd be at SM Megamall the moment it opens to have my NBI clearance renewed only to find out that at that time it would take me forever to even find the end of the line. Then the moment I got home my mom told me we could check at the city hall. Guess what?! No lines. I was first. I just handed them my old copy, my ID pic and a valid ID, handed them the P115 and 2 mins later I was on my way home. Darn, darn, darn.

That's how the day has been. And it's my mom's birthday today. I forgot. I don't have anything to give her. I'm such a moron.

Do Not Read

I dunno why I can't leave comments. Anyways, Hermie, I dunno what it is but I know it'll go away in a few months. Hopefully. I'd have it checked again after 6 mos.
Dumdidumdadadum.
I'm bored. And sleepy. And tamad.
Small things gets me so rammed up lately. Like I can get pissed for the smallest possible reason. Me hate that. Also, me hate the sick feeling. See. I can't even write anything worth reading. Sorry.

Dreamscape

I've said it time and time again, I don't dream. It's rare that I would and usually I won't even remember what it's about. This time though I've been dreamin almost every night. Usually I'd forget what it was about but last night's dream's just too vivid.

Question is, why do I keep on dreamin about him? I hate him! Well, not really, but I don't like him at all. Geez. My dreams are giving me the creeps, it's like my mind is trying to free some really bad ideas out in the open.

I just had to rant. Forget it.

Bad Day

If the other day was my shining moment, today is just one big frustrating moment.

I learned that I've got cysts on both my ovaries.

The medicard clinic at SM North lost my medicard card.

I got my long awaited period thus a highly noticeable stain on my pants while frolicking with Hernan at SM.

The cab that I rode in broke down a kilometer or so from my place.

No other cab around so I had to walk the rest of the way with my white 3 inch heels and my bag hanging at my back and my planner suspended in front to hide any stains.

I'm getting really nauseous...must be the pills.

You have the Star representing you on this day, dear Hanne, and that means that you feel balanced in yourself and radiant towards the outside world. In association with the Wheel of Fortune which symbolizes chance, your lucky Star is telling you loud and clear that you must seize the opportunities that arise, including any new love interest or possibility of a new friendship. Remember that it is through others that you can expand yourself. So don’t stay in your own four walls, get out and meet people. At work, you're in an excellent position to advance your situation. Random

There are times when I try hard to keep up with my own pace and end up lost. I've been running around on tip speed and it's too much effort just for anyone to keep up even for myself. Once in a standstill though I see a blurry of movements and I itch to go. Why can't I just be in sync with the rest of the world? Why am I always buzzing away or on a standstill?

***

I met up with the p*yups peeps yesterday. It was fun. Really. I almost forgot how nice it is to laugh. And smile and just be among people who are so different in so many ways yet still the same as everyone else. Simply put, I miss having my life back.

***

From zero I am now a hot commodity. Well, not really. In my dreams dude, in my dreams. Then again, having too many options makes everything the harder. Just like when you're left inside this really fantastic shoe store and all the strappy stilettos are staring back at you...ugh, you just gotta have all. That's how I'm feeling now. Options are now on the table, now I make a decision.

Superhuman Me

So I told myself I'd never ever go to work without sleep. Here I am...home. Nice.

Well, I didn't get any snooze time this afternoon since my darn phone won't stop ringing. First IBM called, they had me scheduled tonight for another interview with the operations director. Then just before I could sleep, Siemens called and I'b be headin there tomorrow morning for an interview. After that another center called asking me if I want to be an agent. Wek. I said I'm not interested. Sad but it seems sleep became uninterested as well. By 7pm I was pulling myself off of the bed so I could head to IBM.

Geez.

I waited for more than an hour before I got interviewed. Guess what, the entire interview itself lasted a mere 5 minutes againts the 70 minutes of waiting. Asteeeeeeg~

Am tired na. That's why I went home. Plus the new manager is still missing. She said she'd be back from her leave by January 2nd but she never showed up yesterday.

Goodluck with me. Tomorrow I got another round of interviews. Me sleep now.

2006

Just a short goodbye to an interesting year.

I welcomed 2 babies early this year. Both my inaanaks.

I had a roller coaster ride with my personal life.

I lost 2 good friends but gained several new ones.

I had a whirlwind romance that ended in tears but which vindicated the fact that I'm in fact not so bright. Hehe.

And I'm looking at a new step which I might take on soon...A good way to start the new year I hope.

Cheers to everyone.

Swinging It

This morning I was telling someone my plans for the day. That after a back breaking 9 hour shift I'm heading to the gym, then I'm heading to the mall to shop and have my regular facial and footspa/pedicure and then I'm supposed to meet my college buddies by dinner.

Well, I did almost everything except for the facial slash foot spa slash pedicure because I realized I'm heading out for the night and I can't wet my face if I'm gonna have it cleaned and all. Hernan and I scoured the Block. Well, not really. But we got really, really tired. And Glenn treated me to pancake house prior to my shopping binge, salamat!

I got myself a new book (no it's not chick lit. it's history! Hello Catherine de Medici), a new make up brush, a new kick ass shirt and of course a new pair of stilts. Yipee! And Hernan and I saw this really nice watch. Accent. Well, I wasn't sure about the brand name cos I'm not familiar with it but it looks so freakin great on my wrist. Well, I haven't actually tried it...Hehehe. But I'm sure it'll look great on me.

Anyway, I went home to catch some Zzzzs supposedly but I can't sleep...so here I am. Waiting. I'd be heading out by 8pm. I'd be meeting Mikey, Randell and Nonoy at Gateway. Ryan said he'd try to follow. Let's see.

IBM called already. Hmm...I gotta talk to Paul.

Train Ride

I rode the train! MRT pare. From Quezon Avenue station to Shaw station. Joey had to give me step by step instructions as to where to go and head and turn. Hernan was listening intently as if praying that by some divine intervention I don't get lost and I was laughing at loud inside. "A train ride?!"
Last time I got on a train was when Hernan and I went to visit Rei after giving birth to KD, that was back in Feb-Mar. And I was separated from Hernan pa. Wahahaha~ You should have seen our expression, "oh no, mahihiwalay si Hanne, baka patayin ako ni Rei pag nawala ko siya!" Mwahahaha~
On my way back, boss was nice enough to show me the way, unfortunately the bridge that would supposedly bring me to the "boarding area" (ok I don't know what it's called) was already closed. I went back, retraced my steps and took the "other" stairs. I had to stand the entire ride since the train was full. When I got to Quezon Ave station again I went down when I shoudl've gone up so I could've crossed EDSA without effort. But since I forgot that, I walked to the intersection and crossed the street (yebah, nakatawid ako ng EDSA!) and by the time I got to 7-11 I was sooooooo freakin tired I decided to take a cab to work. I paid P35. Nice.
Now I'm hungry.
But I kinda liked the train ride at night. Nice view from the top.

One More Before D' Day

I went around the mall again to get some last minute shopping. Well, I'm still far from being done but I was able to do a lot. A lot of walking that is. After 30 minutes of fighting my way through the crowd in my "office" attire and 3 inch killer heels, I decided to buy some flip flops. Hello Ipanema Brown and Gold! From the moment I saw it at Gateway last month I've been drooling over it. It's like the metallic Havs which I can't find but in this rich chocolate and gold color. Woohoo~

Also, I got Mishka a Baby CD Player. Para wag naman siyang magtampo since I got KD a baby Laptop. Kait, I didn't get your kids any yet. Utang muna. Hehe~

I got myself a new fluffy giant pillow. Yeah!~ Another one for myself. Selfish!

You know what though? The closer Christmas gets, the lonelier I feel. Everywhere I look at I see friends, families, lovers doing "christmas-y" things together. And there I was, lugging my plastic bags like an old harassed lady. It came to a point when I see nothing anymore. My mind receded to that other place where no one can once again reach me. Sad.

I've been spending the past 3-4 Christmases at home, online. I used to have Dylan with me all the time. Let's see this year if I still have someone to share Christmas with. If not, then maybe, he's changed his mind about celebrating...maybe then, I'd really be alone.

Cuties

Who's the cutest among them all? From Shiloh to Violet, Suri and Sean Preston.

Panic

It's creeping in. I am worried. My anxiety is picking up.  Please
